Anna Glazova

Anna graduated from the humanities and art faculty of the Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
Fine, exact lines, the beauty of the material and complex architectural forms are inseparable from the philosophy of her sculptural ceramics studio. An unquenchable pull towards art and the wish to make work capable of existing outside its own time — at moments ahead of it — led her to several collections.
Every piece is made by hand using techniques and materials of her own. The precision of the form is won through many hours of painstaking work and attention to every detail. Anna's ceramics combine the refinement of Japanese and European traditions.
Tactile, formally complex, these objects become an eloquent accent in an interior, underlining its character and its standing. Through them the artist conveys an inner state and her own reading of the world, with clay as the medium of that statement.
