Tatiana Zvyagina

Tatiana was born in 1985 in Podolsk, Russia. She graduated from the painting faculty of the Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute in 2010 and has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists since that year. She has exhibited since 2004.
Her practice moves across media — painting, works on paper and ceramics, as well as textile materials including silk, wool and cotton. Through form, rhythm and colour she examines how the surrounding world is perceived, offering the viewer an experience of close contemplation and tactile encounter.
Her work is held in private collections in Russia.
"A vessel, a painting, a garment can carry your philosophy further — can become a portrait of a person. A space in which individuality is present is something I value particularly highly. I believe in people's need to give visual form to their thoughts and sensations, in order to make sense of their time and their society, and to build a thinking, attentive world."
