About the work

We took our cue from architectural form, where geometric pattern and texture carry the weight. This meeting of lines and angles recalls the spare, minimal vocabulary of contemporary design and architecture.

Leather stands for the connection to nature — its mutability, its many facets — while the handwork underlines the value of human labour and invention, filling the object with a particular energy and meaning. A reminder of how carefully natural resources deserve to be treated, and of how singular each moment is.
