About the work

This series of vases was developed by Backbone buro in collaboration with Polina Shutova.

The spaces between the forms matter as much as the forms themselves, so the objects are meant to be moved, arranged, set in conversation with one another. What is interesting here is not only the shapes but the pauses and the rhythm — between the silhouettes, and between the lines drawn across their surfaces.
